A Masjid (mosque) at the Heart of Bradford’s Community
Madni Jamia Masjid has been acknowledged for its outstanding work from over 1000 Masjids (mosques) across Britain. On Sunday 25th November 2007 Live at the Global Peace and Unity (GPU) event in London Docklands Excel in front of an audience of 25,000+ WON the prestigious prize of model mosque of Britain.The whole Model Mosque programme has received international recognition and coverage from all media outlets including television and newspaper (e.g. House of Parliament, the Guardian) and locally by the T&A and Deputy Chief Executive of Bradford Council.

INCLUSIVE
We have been particularly recognized for our plans to transform the Madni Jamia Masjid into a specialised centre for learning and hub for social development, with activities designed to make the masjid more youth, family and community friendly. As well as our leading work engaging and delivering projects with young people and women.

LIFE SKILLS
At Madni Masjid we aim to develop a integrated methodology to impart knowledge, skills and an internalisation of Islam based on the Qur'an and Sunnah (example of the prophet) in order to create a spiritually, intellectually, morally and physically vibrant Muslim with life skills and a clear understanding of their role in the modern world.

RECOGNITION
We have been recognized nationally by Islam Channels "the Model Mosque" for:
Being a mosque at the heart of community
Community cohesion and fostering relations with the wider community
Good progressive leadership
Developing shared values that encourage and support innovation, learning and achievement of the aspirations of the community
Real partnership building from the public, private and voluntary sectors

CITY STRENGTHS
Munsaf Sadiq the secretary of Madni Jamia Masjid said "One of the great strengths of
Bradford is the way that our city has welcomed people from many different cultures; we
hope that our work with the Masjid will be an opportunity for everyone to celebrate what
is good about Bradford's faith communities".
