Connecting
Cultures Discover Islam – Cultural Exhibition
The Exhibition included a
series of colorful, interactive and dynamic displays
and models about Islam; and innovative artists
by the name of Mahmood Manning, Haji Noor
Din, who have a selection of paintings printed on
to canvas depicting calligraphy, kufic graphics
all with special style that will enthuse and
captivate the public. It is an extremely rich
exhibition and very thought provoking.

As part of the Open
Day individuals, family and schools had an opportunity to
enjoy
the atmosphere and get involved in the activities such as connecting
cultures exhibition, face painting and badge-making for the
children and a chance to have a go at traditional Muslim songs
and wear
traditional clothes. There was also a variety of food to
suit every palate. |

Celebrating Faith
Event
An evening programme to celebrate the contribution faith
makes to our lives, our communities and our
surroundings. The event allowed people the
opportunity to network with individuals and
organisations and to learn about some of the
innovative approaches, being focused on to bring
about a culture of inclusion.
Key note speakers included:
Bishop of Bradford Rt Revd David James,
Shaykh Andrew Watts and
Ms. Michele Sutton Principle, Bradford College.
