It is with a heavy heart that the management of Madni Jamia Masjid have decided to implement the advice of council of mosques (copied below) and take serious measures to protect the public from the Coronavirus pandemic. We hope you will support us during this extremely difficult period for everyone worldwide and all our efforts will help to contain and minimise the risk to our loved ones.
Coronavirus is deadly on two fronts:
(1) first it is very contagious
(2) second it has a high risk of infecting the elders in our community.
We know every believer has a deep affiliation to the Masjid, and we are grateful to Allah SWT for granting us the ability to serve the community and for your unwavering support for many years.
However, we do not want to take the risk of this virus spreading and harming people. With the best interest of the community in mind, the management have made the following decisions:
Madni Jamia Masjid will not be open to the public for their own safety and protection.
Masjid Services Impacted:
All the five daily prayers, Madni Madrasah and Jummah Salah will be stopped from tomorrow evening, THURSDAY 19th MARCH 2020 for the general public until FURTHER NOTICE.
– All scheduled events, classes and lessons are also canceled until further notice.
We cannot currently allow large gatherings in the Masjid so, there will be no more Fateha Khani/Khatums taking place in the masjid until further notice.
Ghusl and Janazah services will also be suspended. Special arrangements will be made by the Council of Mosques at the cemetery during this period.
We ask you for your support and understanding during this period of hardship. We also hope that you appreciate the we would not be taking these precautions if we did not think the risk was high.
We pray that Allah SWT grants this Ummah relief and cure during this very difficult time.
Contacting the Masjid:
For the safety of our staff there will be limited services and we ask you to monitor the website for updates as phone calls will not be answered.
