Punctuality
Punctuality is an important part of self-discipline and is essential to good time management. You should bring a note explaining the reason for late arrival.
1st Session: 4:30 pm – 5:45 pm
2nd Session: 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm
Children are expected to arrive five minutes before the Madrasah start time and dropped inside at the reception of the Madrasah.
Parents must collect their child on time and arrive five minutes early so they can collect their child promptly (5:45 pm/7:15 pm) from the reception.
Attendance
If you are ill your parents/carers must ring the education office (01274 667986) as early as possible on the first day of absence. You must bring a note from your parents/carers when you return and sign the absence page at the back of your planner, even if they have telephoned the Madrasah.
The Madrasah cannot authorise absence for days away, shopping or looking after family. Parents/carers are requested not to arrange family holidays during term time. Where this is unavoidable, a holiday form should be completed well in advance and authorisation would be at the Administrator’s discretion.
All students are responsible for bringing and maintaining their own correct learning material (Qaida, Quran, syllabus books & writing equipment) on a daily basis.
Students who would like to purchase relevant syllabus books, writing equipment, writing books, Madrasah bag and Qaida can do so from the education office five minutes before or after Madrasah starting time only.
Fees
Madrasah fees must be paid within the first week of every month by the 5th of each month to their class teacher.
Fees will still be due even if the child has not been attending madrasah for some time. Time off is not an excuse for not paying fees. On return to the madrasah the child will be expected to pay all outstanding fees.
It is the parent’s direct responsibility that children’s fees are paid promptly at the start of each month.
Admissions
The minimum age of admission is 5 year old. The Madrasah application form can be collected from the education office and once completed, handed to the education office where the applicant will be entered into the enrolment database.
During the enrolment period all students must attend with their parents, where they will be assessed upon admission and allocated to a class.
Administrative decisions which involve class allocations, Madrasah times, holidays and the syllabus are made by mutual agreement between the Madrasah staff, education committee and parents.
Mentoring Scheme / Volunteering
A Madrasah mentoring scheme is put into place to help build confidence of the older students to support and set a good example for the younger students in the Madrasah.
The student mentors will have the opportunity to actively engage in delivering student assemblies with guidance from the teachers, provide help with younger students who are struggling in learning. Students who perform with excellence will be rewarded by the teacher accordingly.
Those community members, students and parents who would like to volunteer or become a member of the Masjid or Madrasah should contact the education office for an informal discussion and collect the volunteering/membership form.
