The sister's committee was created to encourage and support the involvement of women in the delivery and development of Masjid services as well as the development of the new education centre. This is a voluntary committee and any key decisions considered by this committee go to the main ICEA management committee for approval.
Members of sister's committee are from various backgrounds and represent the community the organisation serves. The sister's committee comprises of professionals, mums, business women as well as women of all ages and abilities.
The sister's committee meets monthly to discuss key issues impacting on women's and children's services and is chaired by an elected management committee member who represents the sister's committee at the main management committee meetings.
The sister's committee has three main work streams, which are as follows:
- Maintenance/Mathum sub-group
- Education/events sub-group
- New Education Centre/fundraising sub-group
