Madni Jamia Masjid is Licensed as a Registered Building
Madni Jamia Masjid is licensed as a religious building to conduct a simultaneous service for Nikah & Civil ceremonies.
Please contact the Masjid Administrator to make provisional arrangements to book a dual ceremony which includes a service that combines the Nikah and Civil ceremony together.
At Madni Jamia Masjid a Registrar is needed to conduct the Civil Ceremony.
You can make a booking with the Register Office up to 12 months in advance.
If the above route is chosen, please allow at least 3 months to ensure a Registrar is available to conduct the Civil Ceremony at Madni Jamia Masjid.
It will be necessary to give formal notices of marriage to the Superintendent Registrar(s) of the District(s) where you live.
Notice of Intention
If you are proceeding with a Dual Ceremony please note that you must give notice of your intention to marry.
The Bride & Groom are required to do the following:
• Make an appointment with the Superintendant Registrar to give your notice of intention
• Attend the appointment
Please note:
• A notice is valid for 12 months and therefore you cannot give your notice until you are within 12 months of the date of your marriage.
• You must each have lived in any District in England or Wales for seven clear days before the date you give notice of marriage (this means the notice is given on the ninth day).
After the bride & groom have both given their notices of marriages they must:
• wait at least 28 clear days whilst the notices are displayed in the Register Office(s) before the Superintendent Registrar’s certificate(s) can be issued (This is the authority for your marriage to take place)
When you arrive at Madni Jamia Masjid you must present:
• the Superintendent Registrar’s certificate(s) to the person officiating at your marriage ceremony
